- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The breakdown of the rates for my services are as follows: My rate is $100.00 p/hr plus drive time - each way. For local jobs - with a from five to thirty minutes drive time - the two hour minimum stated includes the drive time. Thus it is $200.00 for the first hour and $100.00 per hour after that. For all jobs with a more than 1/2 hr drive time, drive time over the first 1/2 hr is calculated in 15 min increments of $25.00 for each 15 min. I install 10 to 20 pieces per hour — depending on size and specific installation or location requirements. It’s also important to keep in mind how long it can take to decide on final placement. If a second art installer is required for extra heavy artworks or complex jobs - sculptures, glass, packing and shipping, etc - they get paid the same rates as I do. Those types of installations must be planned far in advance.

I am also a professional working fine artist, who has been a professional art handler and installer for thirty years at the top art galleries, museums, international art fairs, and for private art collectors and for people and businesses of all types.
