I contacted Russel and the VFix team initially looking to install a generator. I got a response in 2 mins asking if they could come out to do an estimate the same day. They came on time and reviewed the job for our home, and had mentioned off-handedly that they could install a mini split system for our home instead of central air. Russel quickly sent me the estimate for the generator installation that evening.
I contacted Russel again about the installation of the mini-split system, he quickly responded and started digging into the details. We went back and forth on different options and systems for about a week, and by that Friday I'd signed the quote and put down a deposit. The following Tuesday, they had all materials and came to start the work. Russel and his team finished the job on-time and on-budget, handled all rhe permitting process, spent extra time to do touch-ups for the inspection and didn't ask for final payment until we were 100% satisfied with the job. Also, would recommend the Daikin system. VFix installed 3 units to 3 bedrooms.
It was a great experience, and I would suggest hiring Russel and his crew at Vfix to do more jobs in the future.

I put the word out and Russel Smat contacted me within an hour. He was here the next morning, and he was very courteous.
The problem was identified and on my go ahead, the part was ordered. The next day he was back with the part and about 2.5 hours he declared it done. Sadly, nothing seemed to change. I gave it time as he asked but had to call him back the next day. He resolved the issue and I finally got my refrigerator back. In all, Russell was a gentleman.

We agreed on $90 for assessment, The guy went out did an inspection they send me this estimate "Photo below"
I believe the Estimate comes with break down of the cost
-They only mentioned it's low on freon
-They didn't mention if there is specific number of pounds is required
-They didn't mention how much per pound
-They didn't mention if there is a leak
All they said we will fill with Freon and if there is a leak it will cost more and will let you "Which means they are not fully equipped and not professional"
I called them and said where is the break down they said we provide it once we receive assessment fee and yet no one informed me with this on the first call we just agreed me and the guy that he will pass by check it out and send me estimate incase it's approved the $90 is waivable incase not it's the assessment fee which needs to be paid " I didn't pay anything since i don't have break down" , although i said to them over the phone that $350 is approved to start work just give me the break down yet they still refuse.
Note that the guy promised me that he will provide me amount of freon needs to be filled by today yet he never answer the phone
As per my experience with those guys:
" Never hire them before full explanation, since they don't fully explain payments and yet they demand it"
Also the women "Owner as she said" am speaking with she said she have proof that she informed about this through text message

Thank you for your feedback. The $90 commercial assessment fee, agreed upon prior to the visit with our technician, covers the technician’s time, travel, and expertise. It is payable on the day of the inspection and will be applied toward the total cost if you choose to proceed with the repair.
The $350 flat rate for Freon recharge is standard, and since your unit had no label, the exact amount can only be determined during service. Please note that the assessment fee was not paid, so a detailed forecast cannot be provided before work begins.

Jim, thank you for your review. Our technician was asked to install the replacement switch you already had on hand, which we did. Since the part was customer-supplied and troubleshooting wasn’t requested at that time, a full diagnosis was not performed.
We’re always happy to return and complete a full troubleshooting service to identify and resolve the issue with your vent hood.
