Bulat took over a highly detailed bathroom remodel part-way through the project, working with vintage Brazilian tile after a previous contractor had damaged and wasted much of the material. This required improvisation, patience, and extreme attention to detail.
His workmanship was excellent. Cuts were precise, finishes were clean, and the final result is nearly as I envisioned.
Throughout the project he was punctual, kept the work area tidy, protected surrounding surfaces, worked hard, and offered practical solutions when problems arose. Despite a language barrier, he kept me informed of progress and next steps.
There were some challenges along the way — smoke breaks, reluctance to cut tile in the stairwell to minimize noise for neighbors, a damaged tile border I had asked to save, a door painted the wrong color, attempts to charge for tool purchases and material shortages that extended the job time.
Even with these issues, Bulat saw the project through to completion and delivered a beautiful finished bathroom that both of us can be proud of. I would recommend him to anyone who values craftsmanship and is willing to communicate openly to work through challenges
