Hi Fellow VO Friends! I have been a pro VO actor since I was 16. I am a classically trained (Uta Hagen) professional actor (TV, Film, Theater) and pro voiceover actor for over 30 years. I have seen many changes in the VO Industry in the last 30 years here in LA. My career and my acting training now speak directly to the style and needs of the industry in Commercial, Animation and Narration VO. No more "sell", no more "announcing". The preference in almost all VO is Conversational, Real and Authentic - definitely for Commercial VO and even in many animated series and video games. Because the style of voiceover is naturalistic, having real acting chops as a VO artist is imperative to land gigs. Jeannie is an amazing human and probably one of the best acting coaches I've worked with in my 20 years voice acting. She's an incredible actress (her IMDB page speaks for itself) and she's the real deal when it comes to teaching. She's also really well connected (she often directs and is also a casting director) so she knows what's hot, what's not and most importantly, how to teach the good stuff. You will not regret working with her. She's a fun little ball of energy and one of my favorite people in the business. The animation demo she made for me over 10 years still gets me work to this day. She's brilliant!

I had no prior professional experience in acting before I started taking classes with Jeannie, and yet Jeannie was patient with me and carefully guided me as to how to be a modern voice actor. Learning the conversational style from her was different than the announcer style voice I'd always thought a voice actor would have, but I find that acting in a more conversational way fits a lot better with who I am, and I like it a whole lot. More than anything else, though, taking classes with Jeannie is fun, and I love coming to class to work with her!

I had the great privilege of working with Jeannie crafting my first demo reels as I began my voice acting career. I cannot recommend Jeannie as a VO teacher more strongly. She has an excellent methodology and a keen instinct for getting the most out of her student's range and capabilities, and developing those further; I'm understood to be a very versatile performer among those I work with, but Jeannie helped reveal aspects and potentialities of my voice I hadn't even considered. Such is breadth and depth of her experience and impeccable attention to detail. Not only is Jeannie, at least in my opinion, one of the top VO coaches around, but also a fantastic person to work with, as a scene partner and an individual. If you have the opportunity to work with Jeannie I urge you vehemently to seize it!

My main voice over coach for many years. She walked me through most if not all of my awkward baby steps into this profession. She's wonderfully patient, knows the technicals of copy better than anyone, and makes you feel safe to learn while still always pushing you to improve.
