I love teaching as well as performing. My passion for piano doesn't stop with teaching lessons, I perform every weekend in weddings and Dueling Piano shows. As an active performer, I know how critical it is for students to have a classical training with sheet music, and to also know how to play by chords, lead sheets, and understand music theory, and improvisation.

The thought of learning piano as an adult was daunting, especially when I considered my jam-packed schedule with a full-time career, being a full-time mom, and a full-time caretaker for my elderly mother. I just didnt see how I could ever successfully find time to learn. However, I also know that self-care is critical, and I needed something to look forward to. Katie offers virtual classes, which have been absolutely perfect for me to fit in my schedule. She gives clear verbal and written guidance, adapts for her students needs, and provides genuine encouragement. As an adult learner, she does a great job of understanding my limitations while also encouraging doable activities that improve my piano skills and mental health.I am so very glad I found Katie . I look forward to continued piano lessons with her and encourage all would-be students to sign up. I genuinely dont believe youre going to find a better piano teacher than Katie. And, if you arent already sold, check out some of her TikTok videos. In addition to a kind, patient, competent teacher, she is an expert pianist! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No registration or recital fees 😊. Lessons are billed a flat-monthly rate and commitment is month-to-month. $195/month for weekly 30 minute lessons $280/month for weekly 45 minute lessons $375/month for weekly 60 minute lessons
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First lesson is free! This is where I get to know you, what your goals, are and what you'd like to learn. Younger beginner students typically start with the Faber Piano Adventures Primer Lesson Book which we start during the first free lesson. Older students (age 16 and above) or students who already have experience may be given the Adult Piano Adventures book or will have a curriculum tailor-made to them based on what they're interested in learning and their skill level.
