Kathleen Robertson brings 30 years of experience to her teaching studio in downtown Ojai. She draws from decades of her own studies with world renowned teachers including Franklyn D'Antonio, who was a former student of the great Jascha Heifetz and Michele Makarski, an internationally acclaimed soloist. Kathleen is an active performer in the Los Angeles studios and can often be found performing at the Hollywood Bowl, the Dolby Theater, and Disney Hall. Students of all levels, all ages, and all walks of life are welcome. Lessons are customized to your level and individual goals.

Kathleen has been an enormous help to me in learning the violin as a second instrument. I’ve been a professional flutist my entire adult life, but had a grandfather who was a violinist. Kathleen is a fantastic teacher. She’s very patient, encouraging and fun. She really watches my playing and keeps me on target with my form and position and encourages me to improve and practice (which I don’t like to do!). It seems like she really sees her students as individuals and teaches specifically and accordingly. You can tell she loves to teach. My lesson time just flies by and it’s always fabulous and fun. I’ve learned so much from her!
