I’ve been a personal trainer since 2010 — this isn’t a job, it’s my purpose. Fitness saved my life, and now I’m paying it forward by helping others transform theirs. I don’t usually write reviews, and I’ve never really been one to use online services, but after moving from Sacramento I needed to find a new personal trainer to keep me on track with my fitness journey. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but after meeting Rob I can honestly say my experience has been better than I imagined.
What stood out to me right away is how genuine his approach is. Rob doesn’t just throw a workout at you—he takes the time to understand your goals, your limits, and what really motivates you. He’s patient but also pushes me in the right ways. I’ve had personal trainers in the past, but in just a few sessions with Rob I felt like I learned more and made more progress than I did in a full month of training 5 days a week with my last trainer.
Another thing I really appreciate is how much he focuses on the “why” behind the exercises. Instead of just counting reps, he explains how movements connect to my goals, how to do them correctly, and how they’ll help me long term. That kind of teaching has kept me consistent and made me more confident even when I’m working out on my own.
Most importantly, with Rob I don’t feel like just another client—I feel like a person he genuinely cares about helping. He checks in, pays attention, and makes adjustments that actually fit me, which shows he’s invested in my success. That level of care and attention is rare, and it makes a huge difference.

Rob is an excellent trainer! He is very personable, motivating and friendly. I was a college athlete with some knowledge of lifting and training. He helped me organize and clean up all my lifts and routines. He has experience with all levels of clients.
Rob created a customized program for me that he adjusted as he learned more about what worked for me personally. It is obvious he takes a lot of time and effort into making the training plan for each client. He is creative and varies the workouts.
I can truly feel a difference lifting since we started working together. I would highly recommend him.

I started training with Rob almost 7 months ago during an active ankle injury with a short break for surgery. We trained through my recovery as well. I have a lot of injuries (chronic and new) with restrictions for work. Rob has been amazing at coming up with a new training plan on the fly depending on how I'm feeling and at what stage of recovery I've been in.
His ability and willingness to work with me to ensure that I don't reinjure myself is amazing. His knowledge and expertise is apparent when you see him make adjustments to exercises or come up with something new altogether that works for me.
He has really helped me develop confidence in my strength and form. I can't recommend him enough!

I hired Rob on May 1, 2023. I didn't know then he would change my body and my life. I had been training seriously for 3 years at that point and was already highly knowledgeable about the foundations of hypertrophy (muscle growth) training and nutrition. I had also worked for 6 months with one of the country's leading experts on female bodybuilding; I hired Rob because in our first interaction, he taught me something I didn't already know. I had considered over 30 trainers at that point and he was the first to teach me something new when he answered my questions.
I trained with Rob 5 days a week for 18 months. In that time, I lost 30 pounds on the scale; my waist went from 30" to 26", my body fat is just around 20%, and I am (pardon the frankness) jacked AF. The thing I enjoyed the most about Rob's training is that I learned how to train myself. As a bodybuilder, when I hit my goal, I'm onto the next area that needs to be brought up or whittled down or whatever and I'm never satisfied. Because of Rob's detailed coaching style (he will go into as much detail as you want), I learned the right way to push myself to continue to develop my physique. I've been training myself for five months now, and I've made substantial gains in that time. I also feel confident training myself because I know how to tweak my exercise selection, form, tempo, rep ranges, programming, and more to continue to get results. I'm a lifetime natural, and my beginner gains are long gone, so this is no small feat.
A lot of trainers can help you lose a few pounds and learn how to lift weights, and if you're looking for that, Rob can certainly help you. He shines in training serious bodybuilders who always expect more. Training with Rob gave me a confidence that will stay with me my entire life. I really can't recommend him highly enough. If you're a bodybuilder and want to take it to the next level, hire him. You won't be sorry. I never was.
