As a native to the DC area, I have an understanding of its unique character, and I love nothing more than showcasing its landmarks and sunrises through my lens.
While landscape photography holds a special place in my heart, I also find joy in capturing candid portraits and films that encapsulate the genuine emotions and personalities of my subjects.

After searching for a wedding photographer, we found Derrick’s website, and were extremely impressed. After meeting with him, we were even more impressed, and booked him for our venue. Since our wedding was small, and not an all-day event, Derrick was very flexible and willing to work with us and customized a pricing package that met our needs. Leading up to the big day, he was responsive, confirmed the day/date/time of the event, and even ensured we had a plan of when/where to meet. From the pre-wedding photos to the after-ceremony photos, Derrick was on his game. When looking at the quality of his work, you’d think he operates with a huge team; however, his one-man show does not disappoint.
We had the initial photos in less than 4 days, and our custom video a week and a half after that. We can not say enough wonderful things about the quality of his work, his level of professionalism, and his commitment to making our day perfect. If you need a wedding photographer, or even just a solid photographer to take photographs for you and your family, we highly recommend DerrickCreative.com. You will not be sorry!!!

Derrick had very little lead time from us and he was very responsive. He made sure he understood what we needed and communicated directly with the venue manager to make sure he was prepared for the livestream. He was very professional and provided us with excellent results. I would gladly hire him again and would recommend him without reservations.

I cannot recommend Derrick highly enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was amazing. He has an incredible eye for detail and captured moments that I will cherish forever. He made my kiddo also feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, he is great working with kids. The final photos were creative, sharp and stunningbetter than I could have imagined!
