My AC unit stopped cooling about 2 months after the warranty expired. Having purchased the system from a large well known AC contractor, I initially called them to service the unit and was charged $300 for them to do nothing more than find a leak and leave me with a repair estimate of $2500 for replacement of a perfectly good condenser coil. Because the leak was not in the coil itself (it was in the suction line that passed underneath the coil and connected to the compressor) I questioned the tech as to why the line couldn’t simply be repaired. I was told repairing the line wasn’t economical as it would require two technicians to remove the condenser, turn it upside down to access the leak, and replace a short section of the copper tubing. I disagreed with the technician, but he effectively ignored my objection.
The following day I contacted Air Repair and explained what I had been told and noted that I believed the leak was repairable with minimal effort. Air Repair sent a technician that afternoon and within 30 minutes he had repaired the leak and was recharging the system. The repair cost well under $500 which included fully charging the system with refrigerant.
I highly recommend Air Repair for their honesty, professionalism, and ethics. It was refreshing to give my business to a contractor that can be trusted to fix a problem without the need to be concerned about them lying and attempting to overcharge me by replacing parts that are perfectly good.
I’ll definitely call Air Repair to handle my service needs in the future!

1. Very responsive - Shalom and Owen came to my house on the same day I reached out. He arrived late in the afternoon.
2. Very accommodating - I was a bit picky about how I wanted the job done. Shalom and Owen never pushed back, and were happy to oblige.
3. Very Conscientious/Dedicated - there was a small issue that popped up. Shalom reached out to me the next morning to check up on it, and then he gladly came back to address it.
The job was well done.
Details of my job: I purchased a Pioneer 9000 BTU mini-split AC unit. I installed the external condensing unit (hung it on brackets on the wall), including the 110V a/c. I also had drilled the 2-1/2" hole through my concrete block wall. But I do not have a vacuum pump, micron gauge or copper pipe flaring tools, so I needed someone to install the refrigerant linesets to the indoor unit, run through the hole, trim and flare them, connect to the condensing unit, and then evacuate the system. Shalom and Owen got the job done.

Showed up on time to check out our AC unit. Our unit was not cooling down the house. Shalom diagnosed the issue and recommended putting in a refurbished unit that helped save cost. He installed the unit next day and communicated when the job was done as well as sending a picture of the completed work. Very good work overall.

My AC was not heating up the air when switched it to heat. And I couldn't figure out why ... at 5pm on a Sunday after with the temp predicted to drop to 40 degrees in Broward.
Air Repair responded in Thumbtack after I posted. Shalom said it might be a simple fix, in that response. I called him and he agreed to come out, and he was there in about an hour. Waw, this was Sunday evening around 6! Help within an hour!
I had the panels for the air handler off because I was trying to fix it myself. Shalom asked a few questions, looked at the system, and then started to hone in on the thermostat ... that I had installed myself a year ago ... yep, that was the problem . . . bad wiring (but the thermostat's instructions told me to do that LOL)!
So within 20 mins of being onsite, I had warm air! And no extravagant bill for unnecessary repairs (although my system is about 15 years old).
Shalom was very prompt, professional, nice and he fixed it!!! And at a reasonable price too. I still have my arms and legs. Of course, I would hire him again and recommend him to others. Ty.
