My experience with Ms Michaelia was amazing!!!! This was my first time ever booking a private chef. She came to my place of residence and she was fully prepared, very professional, very clean and very full of good energy. My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. She went out her way to surprise us with roses for no addition cost . I was amazed I definitely will be booking her again. Thank you so much

Short version: unprofessional, average food, low quality ingredients, do not recommend. Long version: Travelled up to the Smokey mountains from July 2-5 and hired Michaelia to cook for 8 people, 3 meals a day. We agreed upon a menu, I detailed food allergies, discussed that she would need to find lodging and ultimately the final price which was a number she came up with and I agreed. I sent over half up front as a deposit. A few days before, we finalized the menu and I asked her to add on deserts, she stated there would be an “up charge” and I paid the same. On the day of arrival she arrived nearly 2 hours later than anticipated delaying dinner for our small children quite a bit, but she hurried and did the best she could. I understood, it was the mountains, and unfamiliar territory. At the end of dinner, She didn’t seem to want to leave, so I checked in with her and made sure she didn’t need anything and discussed the schedule for the following day. Michaelia then asked me if I knew of any hotels in the area. I shared I had never been in the area and knew nothing at all. We said good ight and she left stating she would be looking for a place on her phone. I bathed my children and also looked for nearby lodging and sent her a few options. I didn’t realize until the next morning when I woke up that she had opted to sleep in the driveway in her car. This was very uncomfortable for me. We had made arrangements nearly 2 weeks prior, she knew exactly where she would be going and that she would need lodging. I felt terrible and booked her a hotel room out of my own pocket for the rest of the stay. I am not sure what her plan was, but this was incredibly unprofessional. I spent a good part of my day on the phone trying to help her check in instead of enjoying my time with my family. This was very frustrating and there was never a “thank you” or acknowledgment of how irresponsible and unprofessional this was. As the days passed by, Michaelia was unable to obtain ingredients for the menu that we agreed upon, I remain unclear why, so she just didn’t make the things on the menu. For example, no dessert (despite the “up charge” on July 4) and on the last day, at the last meal, she brought 6 eggs for 8 people, and then ate at least 2 of them on her own when she made herself a plate before any of the guests had even had a chance to eat. When I asked where the eggs were, she said she didn’t have anymore, I was shocked and asked her directly if she thought it was reasonable that she was eating half of the eggs and expected 8 people to share the other half. She became angry and stormed off, collected herself, came back in, but never apologized or acknowledged her incredibly unprofessional behavior. Having worked with many wonderful chefs, this behavior was shocking and completely unacceptable. The quality of the food was intensely average. Most things were out of a box or freezer bag. Very few things made freshly. The meats were overcooked on two of the nights, the spices were heavy on the salt. She was punctual and followed our dietary restrictions to the best of her ability. Her lack of professionalism really impacted our experience and after much thought I decided to write this candid review. She is a nice person, and hopefully she will grow into the kind of cook she hopes to be. As things stand now, I would not work with this company again nor can I recommend her for anything more than a simple one time meal.

My experience with Da food court was amazing! The food was delicious and her pricing was amazing! She definitely fit my budget.. she has a great response time, was on time and ready for the occasion… I will be booking Da food court again for sure!!!

Their food is incredible and they give large portions. With such reasonable prices I was concerned it wouldn’t be that good or enough to fill me up but it was delicious and I had some leftover for later. Thanks again Ruby! I’ll be ordering again very soon!
