I met with Laura today to discuss a project I have in the works. She was very nice, but I quickly saw that she didn’t thoroughly read the very detailed email I sent her about my project before our meeting. She asked me several questions that were already answered in the email. I told her in advanced in the email that I was building in a historic zoned district, but she has no experience in that space. Another thing, it would be better and fully transparent if she shared that she charged have a $175 consult fee, the services a client would be receiving during the consult BEFORE scheduling time with them. I feel like I paid money for nothing. After speaking to an experienced architecture firm, it’s clear that if I went with Laura, I would have been severely overcharged and let down.
