I was extremely happy with the wall cap/railing job by Timber Carpentry. Joao was extremely conscientious, about the work and getting the job done correctly. He set up his shop outside, and cleaned up after his work was done. I have other carpentry work that needs to be done and already asked him for pricing. 10 stars!!!!

I had asked someone else that I worked with, back in September or October, to please provide an estimate for this project. In January I finally gave up on him (he does GREAT work but is in high demand :) ) and turned to NextDoor where I found several referrals. Thumbtack is apparently the app that NextDoor partners with. Three people were queried. One guy took awhile to respond. Joao responded immediately. They both had similar cost estimates. Joao has great reviews on his timeliness and punctuality, which I can completely confirm. He was immediately on the job on a Saturday, he accepted 1/3 payment by Venmo. He prepared the bookshelves according to my sketch/plans and mounted them to the wall in a single day. He returned with his painter to stain the bookshelves two days later, exactly when he said he would. I am so pleased with the result! The work was done very well. I could never have done such a quick and efficient job. Even my skeptical husband is happy!
