By way of some personal background, I worked in infrastructure and technology, with a prominent global consulting firm, for over thirty years. I believe that environment encouraged setting a high bar and managing high expectations. Bobby took the lead on helping me set up an office-quality home wireless network, including three wired access points across three stories of a nearly 5,000 square foot house. This work included pulling a small amount of cable and speaker wire, cable terminations, wall-mounting switches / access points / other components, and performing the configuration of the newly deployed infrastructure to support the seamless handoff of wireless activities across the home. This work also included confirming home audio and landline telephony operability post-setup. Though those components were not directly part of the intended network scope, they might have been disrupted by it - and Bobby’s approach ensured that they were not. This work all completed within a six hour period, which seems remarkable. While the Thumbtack feedback interface allows for the selection of only three key highlights, for Bobby I would comfortably select all five that were listed, including value and punctuality. Via his showing up prepared (e.g., purchasing devices in advance), his knowledge of the subject matter, his pleasant and professional style, and the quality results achieved, Bobby redeemed my otherwise-flagging confidence in the prospect of finding such people who care about all of these important factors. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I Charge 50$ for the first hour and then 35$/hr there after. I also have set pricing for certain services. Virus Cleaning - 120$ OS Install - 75$ Hardware Upgrades (Does not include hardware) - 15$/piece of hardware installed
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet customer, and discuss or address concerns and what they are looking to have fixed. I try to address all fee's up front so there are no surprises.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am A+ Certified. I have worked in Computer Hardware shops for several years. I Have a lot of experience in all things computers.
