“We love your sound!” – "You made the party!" – that’s what our clients say over and over! Midwest Mixtape offers a great variety of live music options to fit your event’s needs. We play crowd favorite popular music from the 70s through Today’s Hits -- from Fleetwood Mac to Dua Lipa, Matchbox 20 to Harry Styles and Chris Stapleton.
We have several great options to fit your party size and budget:
1. Midwest Mixtape Duo: a unique guitarist/drummer combo that sounds like a full band! Our duo takes up a smaller footprint than a traditional band, but brings the upbeat energy to elevate your event!
2. Midwest Mixtape Dance Band: a 4-5 person band for when energy is the priority and you want to fill the dance floor!
3. Saxophone + DJ: Matt Crandall is the TOP Saxophone + DJ performer in KC. When you want your guests to be blown away and the party rocking all night -- hire this team!
4. Saxophone soloist: Need gorgeous background music to set the tone for your party, reception, or cocktail hour? Matt can perform with or without backing tracks in the genre of your choice.
Midwest Mixtape is a husband-wife team, Matt & Laura Lee Crandall-- and we LOVE being able to make our customers' events memorable and remove any stress associated with hiring live music. We can help with event planning, we take care of all our own sound needs, and always customize our set lists to create just the mood you are wanting to set at your event. We both have our music degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and pride ourselves on being professional and easy to work with, whether we're the main event or background music setting the mood.
