- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is all about making you feel confident, prepared, and camera-ready—whether it’s your first headshot or your fiftieth. Initial Consultation We’ll ******************************** to go over your goals—whether you need an actor headshot, corporate photo, LinkedIn update, or a full team session. Pre-Shoot Guidance I’ll guide you on wardrobe, hair, makeup, and location options. Studio, Central Park, or your office—whatever fits your vision best. The Photo Session At my Upper West Side studio or on location, I’ll direct you throughout the session to capture natural, confident images. My sessions are relaxed, encouraging, and efficient. Image Review Right after the shoot, we review your images together so you can choose your favorites immediately. Same-Day Delivery In most cases, you’ll receive your retouched images the same day—before you even leave the studio. Fast, polished, and ready for casting or your professional profile.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Fine Art and Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, where I learned the technical skills behind lighting, composition, and visual storytelling—skills I now use every day as a professional headshot and portrait photographer. But my greatest influence was my father—a renowned black-and-white war photographer in China. He worked with film, in full manual, capturing raw, emotional moments in some of the most intense environments. Watching him taught me not just how to use a camera, but how to photograph with purpose, with feeling—with heart. That deep, early education shaped my entire approach. Today, whether I’m shooting a corporate headshot, actor portfolio, or personal branding session, I bring the same focus: to capture not just what you look like—but who you are.
