FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My handyman rate is $50 per hour. However, once a single job exceeds 5 hours, the price for that entire project—and any future work—is a flat $40 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is straightforward: we start with a conversation about your project and your goals. From there, I can provide a quick estimate or schedule a time to come out for a more precise quote. For most jobs, I bill by the hour, but for smaller or larger projects, I can provide a fixed-price estimate. I have successfully completed a wide range of work, from minor repairs like fixing a leaky faucet to larger projects such as a full kitchen gut and remodel.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My diverse background has given me a unique and comprehensive skill set. My experience in fixing and flipping homes has taught me how to manage a project from start to finish, handle unexpected issues, and execute a wide range of repairs and installations. This includes everything from plumbing and electrical work to framing and drywall. Working as a mechanic at a high-performance shop instilled in me a deep understanding of complex systems and a meticulous approach to problem-solving. It's where I developed my attention to detail and a commitment to precision. I learned to troubleshoot quickly and to use the right tools for the job, ensuring every task is completed correctly and safely the first time. Finally, my antique business has honed my eye for detail and my ability to work with delicate materials. It has given me the patience and care required for restoration and refinishing work. This experience is especially valuable for jobs that require a steady hand and a respect for craftsmanship. Together, these experiences have provided me with a well-rounded skill set that combines practical knowledge, technical expertise, and a dedication to quality—all of which I bring to every job.
