Moving is a total bitch, especially when you own a bunch of heavy junk. I own my fair share, and also happen to own a bad back. Now that I'm older and wiser, I hire somebody else to do the heavy lifting when I have to change residences. I recently hired Genesis Moving on Thumbtack after receiving bids from other moving companies. These guys came in the cheapest by a fair margin and they had pretty excellent reviews. They were literally less than half the cost of some of the other companies. I called Genesis and asked the pertinent questions and determined they were licensed, insured, straightforward and had no extra hidden fees in their pricing like a lot of the other moving companies. Frank and his helper arrived at the appointed time to start the job. They were extremely professional, considerate and FAST! They had all my heavy junk out of my apartment in 45 minutes and we were on the road. They deposited all my stuff at my new residence shortly thereafter without any dings, dents, or drops. The job was finished in under two hours, and my bill was shockingly low. Frank took my payment over credit card on his i-Pad, emailed me a receipt, and the job was done. What more can you ask of a moving company? I would absolutely use these Genesis again for future moving needs, although I hope to never ever have to move again. These guys are highly recommended.
