FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a specialist with over 20 years of experience, I pride myself on transparent and fair pricing that reflects the value and expertise I bring to every project. Here's what you should know about my pricing structure: Hourly Rate: My standard hourly rate is $75, which covers concept development, revisions, and final deliverables. Project-Based Pricing: For most projects, I offer flat-fee packages to provide predictability. For example: Basic logo design: $250 (includes 3 initial concepts, up to 2 rounds of revisions, and final files in multiple formats). Full branding package (logo, business cards, style guide): $750–$1,500, depending on scope. Website: starting at $1000. These rates are based on my extensive portfolio and tailored to your needs—I'll provide a free initial consultation to quote exactly. Discounts: I offer a 10% discount for repeat clients or bundled services (e.g., combining branding with web graphics). First-time clients can also receive $50 off projects over $500 as an introductory offer. Seasonal promotions may apply—feel free to ask! Fees and Additional Costs: There are no hidden fees; what I quote is what you pay. Extra revisions beyond the included rounds are billed at my hourly rate. Materials like stock images or fonts (if needed) are passed through at cost with your approval. Note that Thumbtack handles all platform fees on my end, so you won't see any additional charges from them. I believe in open communication, so let's discuss your project details to customize a quote that fits your budget and goals. Looking forward to collaborating!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Well, it depends on the project, but my process is always collaborative, efficient, and tailored to deliver results that align with your business goals. Here's a typical step-by-step process when working with a new customer: Initial Consultation: We start with a free discovery call or meeting (via phone, video, or in-person if you're in the Austin area). I'll ask about your business goals and values, target audience, timeline, budget, and any specific ideas or inspirations you have. This helps me understand your needs and scope the project accurately. Project-Specific Deep Dive: For Branding Projects: I conduct a detailed interview, asking questions about your product or service, core business values, and your customers' preferences. I'm essentially looking for key insights to build a strong foundation—something we can anchor the design on to create a sustainable, memorable brand that resonates long-term. For Website Graphics or Digital Design: We'll discuss the site's objectives and key tasks (e.g., e-commerce, lead generation, or informational), your target audience demographics, user experience priorities, and any existing assets like wireframes or content. This ensures the visuals support functionality and engagement. Proposal and Agreement: Based on our discussion, I'll send a customized proposal outlining the scope, deliverables, timeline, pricing, and any milestones. Once approved, we'll sign a simple contract to protect both sides and get started. Concept Development: I create initial concepts or mockups (usually 2-3 options) and share them with you for feedback. This iterative phase includes up to 2 rounds of revisions included in the base price—more if needed at an hourly rate. Refinement and Finalization: We refine designs based on your feedback until you are completely satisfied. I will provide you with the final files in all necessary formats (e.g., vector, PNG, JPEG for print/digital use) and instructions for use if this was agreed upon. Delivery and Follow-Up: Once everything's approved, I deliver the assets and offer a quick walkthrough if required. I also follow up after a week or so to ensure everything's working as expected, and I'm available for future tweaks or expansions. Throughout, I emphasize open communication—expect quick responses and regular updates. My goal is to make this fun and stress-free while delivering designs that elevate your brand.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I believe the best education in design comes from real-world application. Rather than focusing on theoretical projects, I gained my expertise by working directly with clients on their unique design challenges. My education is ongoing; I'm committed to staying current with industry best practices and expanding my knowledge across various fields to bring a well-rounded perspective to every project
