I’d been having trouble with a piece of siding for a number of years. One handyman did a sloppy fix that didn’t last, another one didn’t think he could do the repair at all. I looked through NextDoor and didn’t come across anyone that seemed like they specialized in siding - it seems everyone specializes in everything - nonetheless I contacted a couple of people. One fell through and another quoted a ridiculous price. I ended up following a link to Thumbtack, which gave me a winner with Victors Siding Crew. Harold and his dad (?) were everything you’d want in a contractor: competent, friendly and respectful, and, like he says in his Thumbtack intro, “exceeds expectations”. I’m very happy with the work they did. Wish all contractors were as conscientious. Would definitely hire them again.
