I have several homes and the crawl space of one of my homes was flooded after heavy rains last October 2024. That was the first time I worked with Lake Atitlan Insulation. In my search for a contractor, Lake Atitlan stood out among the 5 companies I called because of the owner, Walter. He was involved in the entire process from the sale to the project itself. He showed up on the first day to make sure the guys had what they needed and to brief them on the work plan.
Prior to the project, I had requested a protective barrier be installed in the house because my tenant has asthma. The guys showed up at 8am as scheduled, put a protective barrier up for the floor and walls from the front door to the room where the entrance to the crawl space was. And after completing the job, they thoroughly cleaned up and made sure everything was back to the way it was. That is the level of detail and thoughtfulness that every company should instill in their workers.
For added transparency, they provided us with pictures of everything on the project line items, from the sump pump, rodent exclusion, air seal, vapor barrier, and insulation installation.
And after the job, a quality control representative came to inspect the work.
I was so impressed with Walter and his company, Lake Atitlan, that I hired them again for my other two homes.
Overall, my experience with Lake Atitlan was 10 stars, but I settled for 5 for now. If you are looking for a company for your attic and crawl space projects, look no further; Lake Atitlan is the best.

I’m very happy with the work Lake Atitlan Insulation did.
First, they cleaned my entire crawl space. The next day, a plumber from another company I hired fixed the broken pipes. On the final day, the team came back to install new plastic, do the Rodent Exclusion, and add new insulation.
Everything was done smoothly and professionally. My crawl space is now clean and protected, and I can feel the difference in my home. Highly recommended!
