I want to be honest and fair in sharing my experience. I felt a bit pressured after the initial consultation, there was a lot of enthusiasm and urgency to get the job done quickly. While I appreciated the responsiveness, it did feel a little pushy. Our first scheduled appointment didn’t go as expected. He came to the house but didn’t ring the doorbell or let me know he was there, so the job didn’t get done. The second appointment went more smoothly, the was on time and ready. On the third visit, when the actual installation happened, he was late due to traffic but communicated that with me. The job itself took about 30 minutes, and the work was done well. He was polite and professional once on-site, and I was happy with the final result. That said, I was surprised by the cost, $230 for a job that took less than an hour. His rate states $40/hour as a starting point, so it felt disproportionate, especially considering the cost of materials was about the same as the labor. It left me feeling unsure about the value for the price. Overall, the quality of the work was great, and he clearly knows what he’s doing. But I’d recommend asking for a clear quote and time estimate up front so you’re not caught off guard.
