I reached out to Royal Dream Construction & Design for a quote on a deck remodel after being impressed by the stunning photos of their work. From the moment Roel arrived at my home, he made a fantastic first impression. He didn't hesitate to get on his hands, knees, and even his belly to thoroughly inspect my deck. As he examined it, I pointed out several serious concerns: the deck was pulling away from the house by nearly an inch in one spot, one joist appeared to be resting on a pipe beneath the deck, one support post was no longer secured to its footing bracket and another post was visibly crooked and cracked. All these issues were isolated to one side of the deck, which was clearly sloping downward. Roel took everything in stride and assured me that once completed, the new deck would be level and structurally sound.
His professionalism and attention to detail left a lasting impression. He brought Trex Decking samples so we could choose the best option for our needs, and shortly after our meeting, he sent over a very detailed quote outlining the entire scope of work. Even better, he included a 3D rendering of the proposed design, which helped us clearly visualize the final product.
The pricing was fair, and I appreciated how transparent Roel was—especially regarding potential additional costs like joist replacements (if needed) and upgrades like the gate we wanted. Once we were ready to move forward, the contract he sent was thorough, clear, and easy to understand.
Communication throughout the entire process was outstanding. Before work began, I reached out to Roel with a concern that had been flagged by a home inspector—our old deck lacked proper flashing. Roel explained they would be installing L-shaped flashing during construction to address the issue. After demolition, he took the time to explain the root causes of the previous structural problems. The original builder had used screws that were far too small to attach the ledger board, and one had even come completely loose, damaging the wood. Roel and his team replaced the damaged portion of the ledger board, used the correct hardware, and reinforced the rest for long-term stability.
What impressed me most was Roel’s willingness to answer every question I had—whether by text or in person—with patience and honesty. His commitment to quality, integrity, and transparency is exactly what you hope for in a contractor.
Roel and the Royal Dream team turned my 25 ft. by 14 ft. rotting, unsafe deck—previously the biggest eyesore on my property—into a true masterpiece. It's now a beautiful, solid, and functional outdoor space that feels like a backyard oasis.
There were no surprises, only excellent workmanship and outstanding customer service. I would absolutely hire Royal Dream Construction & Design again and have already recommended them to friends and family.

Roy and his brother did an awesome job on my kitchen island(peninsula) They showed up on time, were super professional, and kept things polite the whole time. They worked nonstop without being too chatty, loud, or distracted by their phones, which I really appreciated. Roy also gave me some great suggestions without being pushy, which I thought was really nice. They also cleaned up so well after finishing, very professional and everything looked great. I’d definitely recommend them and am already thinking about hiring them to do the walls in my living and dining rooms.
